Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) to End After Mid-November

Multimedia messaging service (MMS) will no longer be offered by telcos in Singapore after the middle of November of this year. When this happens,  short message service (SMS) texts can no longer be used to send photos, animations and music files since sms with such attachments are converted into MMS.

According to the city’s biggest teclos Singtel, StarHub and M1, the major reason for ending MMS is the huge decline in MMS demand.
