Vietnam, Singapore Launch Negotiations on Digital Trade Agreement

On June 21, right before the High Level Opening of the Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM) High Level Policy Dialogue took place, Singapore and Vietnam agreed to establish a Technical Working Group on the platform for digital partners.

A Digital Economy Agreement (DEA) is a treaty that sets digital trade rules and digital economy collaborations between two or more countries. Businesses in the partner countries will be able to connect more seamlessly as the DEAs establish common frameworks and rules for digital trade.
